Coffee in Taos

Cafes, Coffee Spots, & Roasters in Taos, New Mexico

In need of coffee in Taos, here’s the run down…

World Cup Coffee (In Town) — A mainstay espresso coffee cafe that occupies a tiny space directly in the middle of Town. Crafted coffee from your local barista. Also available: delicious delivered baked goods, wholesome snacks, and truth.

Be impressed upon while you wait for your cup because there’s no shortage of thought or people to pick up a conversation with. It’s a Taos watering hole hard to miss on the corner of Paseo and Kit Carson, our main intersection in Town.

Find one of a handful of seats at the window bar inside or a spot on the bench outside (smoke included) and hang awhile. Or go stroll the Plaza and Bent St. where you can find your own bench seat.

Notes: espresso, snacks, baked goods, coffee, watering hole, town

Location: In Town

Elevated Coffee — Quality espresso coffee and good vibes conveniently available just after Town on Paseo Norte. Get great coffee (brew too), grab a muffin, baked breads, or pre-made burrito that are good to go and, well, go.

Or stay for a while, the space is welcoming and calm. Check out some of the local art hanging around while you take care of computer tasks, read, or sit and have a think.

There’s also room outside to sit underneath their big red coffee cup, in a small but sweet roadside sculpture garden.

Notes: espresso, snacks, baked goods, burritos*

Location: (Just North of Town in El Prado)

The Coffee Spot (North side of Town) — Coffee and grub quaintly served near the North side of Town. Come for a full breakfast menu and more. Keep your coffee cup full while you eat.

Linger while you work if that’s your thing, without work awhile just linger and think. The place is cool and in a shady spot, the food is good and coffee hot.

Coffee Apothecary — Pleasant chic coffee house on the South side of Town with everything you need to be. The coffee is well crafted and the space is totally cute.

Taos Java — Nice place for coffee with drive thru window and food to-go. Quality products and really convenient if your running errands on the Paseo Sur.
